Rockstar title maintains top spot as EA’s music game hits No.6; Age Of Conan straight in at No.2
Rockstar has made it a fourth week at number one in the ELSPA/ChartTrack All Formats chart – beating major new releases from Ubisoft, Eidos and EA.
EA’s Rock Band hits sixth position in the chart, but it’s not likely the publisher will be disappointed; according to ChartTrack, three quarters of all people who purchased the £49.99 solus Rock Band disc also bought the full £129.99 instrument pack.
Performance of the week comes from Eidos, with MMORPG Age Of Conan: Hyborian Adventures hitting second spot – despite only being released on a single format.
The game easily becomes the biggest PC release of the year so far – and the most successful ever online-only title outside the World Of Warcraft franchise.
Ubisoft’s PS3 exclusive Haze debuts in No.3. It has been a less enjoyable week for Nintendo, with Wii Fit – amazingly – dropping from second spot last week all the way out of the top 40.

Incredible, people are buying Haze ? So desesperate ? :)
Re: :)
Yeh, with all the reviews Im suprised it sold that much, it could just be down to the factor that most people dont read reviews.
Will be interesting to see how many copies start turning up in the pre-owned sections
Re: :)
haha - yeah Haze is very ordinary. Am sure it will drop out quickly.
Very suprised at the drop in Wii Fit ?
Re: :)
@Scott.
I wouldn't be too surprised. Supply is still very poor.
HAZE
haze got bad reviews, but that doesnt neccessarily mean that it's a bad game.
i personally have enjoyed games that have been underrated.
Re: HAZE
Haze was a massive let down, I preordered it and didn't read reviews as I didn't want to spoil it for myself but I now wish that I had.. .ah well, theres still MGS4 to look forward to!
Re: HAZE
PC only format kicks PS3 and XBOX 360 exclusive titles into touch. So its a dead format? Proof is in the pudding. Yes Rock Band was over priced but hey, I bet Microsoft are upset that they have been demoted to 6th in the charts.
Re: HAZE
I like Haze. It is not a bad game, far from it. So what if the reviews were poor. I bought it as I played the demo on the PSN and was quite impressed - I don't normally go for FPS games, but I found it easy to control and very smooth, slick game play. Then when I bought the game I was more impressed. In fact I never considered buying it until I played the demo on PSN.
Just because some people don't like the game (and from what I read above this is before people have even played it) you can't argue with the sales figures and they prove a lot of people maybe do like the game having played the demo first and that why they bought it.
Re: HAZE
Gz to Eidos for dropping straight in at #2 - It'll never be as good as WoW tho... I need to buy a PS3 with GTA:IV - I've not heard 1 bad thing about it, and 4 weeks at number 1 backs this up!
Re: HAZE
@ 12
If you dont normally play FPS's then you would not be able to compare Haze to what are now the industry standard setters in the FPS market, and see where Haze fails in comparison.
However, the basic fact is that you enjoy the game, and I am sure you are not alone in this, and at the end of the day that is all that matters.
Game reviews are generally a critical analysis by those with alot of experience in the genre and can often be harsh when compared to other games that do the job better - this does not necessarily mean the game can not be enjoyed (especially if you play the game from a less critical standpoint).
Enjoy.
