Guitar Hero: Metallica on the way

James Bond game also given final title

According to Gamespot, a Guitar Hero: Metallica game has been confirmed by Activision in an SEC filing.

Wedbush Morgan analyst Edward Woo dug out information on the title, which will be in a similar vein to Guitar Hero: Aerosmith game released earlier this year.

It will be released in Activision’s first quarter of 2009.

"In fiscal 2009, we plan to publish Guitar Hero: On Tour for the NDS; Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, and Guitar Hero IV across multiple platforms," the company said in its report.

In other news, Activision's SEC filing also confirmed that the next James Bond game, developed by Treyarch using the Call of Duty 4 engine, will be titled Quantum of Solace – the same as the next James Bond film.

I don't think there's been a movie tie in bond game in a while (maybe im wrong tho). Hopefully they do it justice, obviously i'm not expecing another goldeneye but it would be great to see another solid action game

@Hark - my nostalgia took over me and i lost logic for a second but now its back- WTF ... i thought it was bad enough that Infinity Ward were'nt making COD 5 but now the company making it are making another game at the same time.

Either they are incredibly skilled or ..... yup we're boned!!

This could be good... IF they just put metallica songs in it!!!

anyone see the line up for the aerosmiths version?? a couple of decent 'smiths songs then a few you never heard of, then the rest is made up of "bands that influenced the areosmiths or that they collaborated with" but they aren't even those songs!!
Run DMC are on it..... but not walk this way!

pointless

this could have worked so well, with band specific versions but not the way they have done it
