
Red PS2 and blue PSPs coming to territory next month
Sony is to launch a red PlayStation 2 and two blue PSP packs in Japan next month.
Joinign the ‘cinnabar red’ consoles and ‘metallic blue’ portable will be a new PlayStation Eye bundle.
According to Next-gen.biz, the platform holder will launch the limited edition red PS2 on July 3rd at a recommended retail price of 16,000 yen. The lightweight system will feature an in-built AC adapter.
On July 17, SCEJ will follow up with a PSP Metallic Blue Value Pack and a PSP Metallic Blue 1 Seg Pack. The limited edition handhelds will retail for 23,800 yen and 29,800 yen respectively.
The former is a starter pack, and will come with a pouch, hand strap, cloth, a 32MB memory stick and a D Terminal AV cable so users can watch content on their TVs.

The latter pack will ship with the same accessories plus a 1 Seg TV tuner and a larger memory stick. In Japan the PSP has regularly dominated the hardware chart over the last few months.
On July 24th SCEJ will also release a PlayStation Eye bundle for PS3.
It will retail for 5,000 yen and feature a PS Eye camera and Memoushon, a software pack containing an image and sound editor and a range of casual games.

Please :( for the love of god and my sanity stop the madness. You have a next gen console, stop holding us back with consoles that should have been put to one side years ago. Also red is a nasty colour.

It looks like a smooth lego brick... What's the point when for a little more you can buy a PS3, which plays the majority of the Playstation 2's games, as well as current gen titles. As Ssj said, "Stop the madness." The only possible use you could have for this is when playing against a friend. If you're losing you could shine a torch off it and blind them.
