Bruce Willis in for Kane & Lynch movie?

Variety report says Die Hard star is in negotiations for role as partner in psychopathic duo

Bruce Willis is negotiating to star in the movie adaptation of Eidos’ Kane and Lynch, according to Variety.

The Hollywood news source reports that Willis will play Adam "Kane" Marcus, a mercenary who makes an unlikely alliance with schizophrenic killer James Lynch.

The game has sold 2 million copies worldwide since its launch in November.

Simon Crane will make his feature directing debut on the film, after serving as second unit director and stunt coordinator on the likes of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Troy and X-Men: The Last Stand.

According to the story, filmmakers are now looking to agree on an actor to play Lynch, and shooting will begin before year's end.

Kane & Lynch was a rubbish game, this will be a rubbish movie. I wonder if Eidos will pay off film mags and websites to give this a good review? Ho, ho, ho.

@JB lol

It could work if they had a good script and the two actors had the chemistry which the characters in the game were supposed to have.

I'm thinking mickey rourke would fit in well.

Wow, so a game that doesn't sell that well and got bad reviews gets turned into a film? WTF?

I am still waiting on a film of the Sims, as I am sure EA would love to get all up in that ****!

(personally I thought K&L was a good game, but had some crap level design, and was far too difficult)

2 million copies worldwide is not bad for a game that is being dissed by all and sundry. I haven't played it so I can't comment but going back to the film I can't believe that Bruce Willis would sign up if the script was not up to scratch. I know he made some errors of judgement in the past i.e. Hudson Hawk but these days he is on Point i.e. Pulp fiction, Sixth Sense, Mercury Rising, Die Hard films.
So even though the game may appear to be not that great the film could be a whole new proposition.

have faith :)
