Snake to star in second ‘CVG Presents’ mag

Metal Gear special lined up to follow publication’s GTA-themed debut

The second issue of the new publication hits shelves on Thursday June 12th and continues CVG Presents’ celebration of the most important events in gaming.

CVG Presents: Metal Gear Solid will take an in-depth look at the last 21 years of Metal Gear on the same day as the latest title in the series, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, is released at retail.

The latest issue is edited by games media veteran Steve Williams and art directed by the influential Terry Stokes, and boasts 180 pages of newly commissioned editorial alongside period interviews from Future’s extensive gaming archive.

Emma Parkinson is publisher of CVG Presents: “Metal Gear Solid 4 looks set to be a legendary game for PlayStation gamers and CVG Presents is a fantastic 180-page celebration of this long running game series."

"Future has been part of the games industry since the launch of the first Metal Gear game, bringing a unique perspective to Kojima’s masterwork."

"Games media veteran" Steve Williams, who I've never heard of, despite reading lots of games magazines from the 8-bit days onwards.

@alip:

Yeah it seems a little wasted to release it on the same day. I'm sure it will cut into the amount of money they would've made.

@3: it's not a bad idea, it gives the fanboys some extra MGS to absorb when they are away from their precious game for more than a few moments (ie: the toilet).
