EA confirms that title will not be released on Sony platform in foreseeable future
Electronic Arts has confirmed that it has halted development of the PS3 version of Command & Conquer 3.
The title, which has just been voted Gamespot’s ‘one to watch’ at E3 this year, will now exclusively be released on PC and Xbox 360 in the autumn.
An EA spokesperson told Videogaming247:
“We can confirm that the development of Red Alert 3 for PS3 has been put on hold. EA LA is focusing resources on development for PC and Xbox 360 which will ship simultaneously this autumn.”
Rumours of the SKU’s death first arose when Gamestop reportedly pulled it from its website last night.

Hmm this sounds a lot like the other story about the Getaway and another game (can't remember the name) being put on hold due to budget reasons.
They probably aren't connected as they are different companies but these are a big named games that the PS3 could do with. With big names being delayed it seems like an ideal time for smaller developers to jump in and claim some fame and sales with a new title without being drowned out by the big hitters.

The PS3 is failing, despite the claims that 2008 is the year of the PS3.
I was tempted to get a PS3 at one stage, but with the lack of games that interest me (I don't like MGS or GT, so I really do have no games to look forward to on PS3) and now the multiformat ones being cancelled, it really shows that Sony have failed in this console war.
Oh well, maybe the PS4 will be different.....maybe....

It's kinda a bit early to say "sony have failed in this console war". They may well fail, but it's only really been a year.. it's too early to say! Shame it's been put on hold, kinda sucks.. but I've always preferred strategy games on pc.. so I'll just buy it for that!

The Ps3 Has not failed and to be honest command and conquer is and always will be better on the pc not on consoles and is another attempt by Microsoft to bring an RTS to a console I.E. Age of empires 2 on ps2 and ds does not work!!
