Publisher Square Enix backs title with impressive cross-media advertising campaign
The publisher of new Final Fantasy title Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII has claimed that the title is the biggest release on PSP this year.
The title, which is being distributed by Centresoft in the UK, is released in the UK next Friday (June 20th) and will be backed by heavy cross-media promotion.
Press advertising will include pages in Official PSP and Official PlayStation magazines, whilst a heavyweight online campaign will target readers of IGN and Gamespot.
The title will also enjoy a two-week poster run on the London underground and a promotional presence during Euro 2008.
Doug Bone, UK sales director told MCV: “With the imminent release of Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII, we have not only the biggest PSP release of the year, but also one of the most anticipated gaming launches of 2008.

"The pre-order levels are tracking at an unprecedented rate and Crisis Core will undoubtedly be an essential purchase for gamers over the coming months.”
There are three ways to get hold of the game on release day – the standard retail pack, a special edition pre-order pack featuring game and art book, and the recently announced PSP bundle from Sony.
All trade enquiries should be directed to Centresoft, who can be reached on 0121 625 3903.

Finally
A game that is actually going to push the PSP in terms of graphics. And thankfully its Square Enix who are doing it because they are one of the few companies who get behind their own products with a full array of advertising and marketting campaigns.
PS: Almost forgot that God of War looked very pretty for the PSP but imo the marketting lacked enthusiasm.
Re: Finally
The PSP needs it. Badly.
