E3: Eidos confirms new Lara

Full software line-up announced – including Tomb Raider: Underworld

Eidos has confirmed that that at least four of its titles will be on show at E3.

IGN reports that the line-up will be:

    * Battlestations: Pacific (PC, 360)
    * Just Cause 2 (PC, PS3, X360)
    * Monster Lab (Wii)
    * Tomb Raider Underworld (PC, PS3, X360)

E3 2008 will take place between July 14th and 17th at the Convention Center in Los Angeles, US.

Eidos need to let it go.

I dont care how many copies they've sold of the previous ones, Tomb Raider is so tired its cringe worthy......

The really bad thing here is that they probably know that its getting a bit old which means they are probably going to commit gaming blasphemy by bringing in a .... GIMMICK.

So there's either going to be some sort of crystal that invokes Lara with mystical powers (hell she may even transform into a bunny rabbit) or maybe its going to be a new feature which will renew the series such as "dress lara up mode" with a hidden feature to undress her tee hee its gna fly off the shelves.

In all serious though they are bit late but now is the time to be establishing new IPs instead of waiting until your old ones die out.

There's always the old 'turning into a wolf' gimmick, that might fit with the underworld theme. They haven't used that one yet... have they?
