UPDATED Square Enix denies reports, stating that upcoming FFXIII title is still on track
Leading Japanese games bible Famitsu is reporting that Square Enix is to delay the release of one of its upcoming threesome of Final Fantasy XIII titles, according to reports.
Developers who had to date been working on Final Fantasy Versus XIII have been shifted to the team handling PS3 title Final Fantasy XIII.
For those of you confused with the upcoming party of FFXIII games, three are currently in development. The trilogy, dubbed Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII by developer Square Enix, includes mobile game Final Fantasy Agito XIII and PS3 duo Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII, the latter of which is said to be notably darker than any previous FF instalment.
The three games are said to be wholly separate adventures, but ones that are set in the same universe – unlike most Final Fantasy games which are typically unrelated to one another.
No release dates for any of the titles have yet been announced – though the publisher has hinted that big news will be announced at September’s Tokyo Games Show.
UPDATE: Square Enix has contacted MCV to deny the claims. A spokesperson said: "Reports that development for Final Fantasy Versus XIII is on hold are false. The truth of the situation is that when free, some staff from the Versus team have been helping with the XIII team on development of Final Fantasy XIII. Development for both titles is continuing as originally scheduled."

good
Maybe its being done for work reasons but as a fan and a gamer i would much rather there was some space ebtween these games launching, at least the two console ones anyways. Even if it was only a few months i think it would be better financially as i would be able to afford both games lol ... and of course Square Enix get to sell the game at its full price to fans instead of both going on sale and someone buying one of them and then buying the next one in 6 months when its price has dropped.
