Organisers confirm event will remain in Germany next year as 2008 event grows by 25 per cent
Leipziger Messe boss Wolgang Marzin has spelled out that the annual Leipzig Games Convention will remain in the city next year following an increase in the size of this year’s event.
"The Games Convention is not moving," confirmed Marzin.
This year’s Games Convention will see the event grow by 25 per cent with more than 500 exhibitors from over 41 countries. An extra 40,000 square metres has been allocated to the Leipzig show which starts Thursday August 21st and ends Sunday August 24th.
"The growing foreign participation underlines the status now enjoyed by Germany as the most important European trade show venue for computer and video games", said Marzin.
