Ferrari Challenge in short supply

Publisher System 3 ‘working harder than ever’ to counteract ‘massive’ demand for title

System 3 is working speedily to restore levels of Ferrari Challenge stock in stores, according to the firm.

The publisher said that a distribution hiccup coupled with demand for the title has resulted in limited numbers of copies on retailer shelves.

Mark Cale, CEO of System 3 CEO Mark Cale explained: “We knew Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli would be popular, but the massive demand for our game has surpassed even our expectations.”

“We’re working hard with our retail partners to make sure that everyone who wants a copy of the game gets one. Our customers are the most important part of our business, so we’re working harder than ever to ensure their needs are met.”

Massive Demand?

Looking at online sales charts, it's quite the opposite. PS3 version at 584 in Amazon's videogames sales ranking, Wii version even further below. Also not featured in any other online charts, whilst many other games new and old are.

I think System 3 are pulling MCV's leg.

Number 15 in the PS3 charts according to Chart Track. Didn't even scrape the top 40 all formats chart.

Wow. This is as hard to get as the Dual Shock 3 is. i.e. Not very hard at all.

I would have thought that MCV would have lernt their lesson from the recent Sony Bull S*** statements.

I finally managed to get it from Woolworths on day of release. Game's stock hadn't arrived and GameStation had "made a commercial decision not to stock it". The good news is it that there's an extra pre-owned copy out there now as I traded it after the weekend. I really can't believe Ferrari put their name to this rubbish!
