KOTOR’s developer confirms that former PC-only title will arrive on consoles next year
Dragon Age, the brand new IP in development at EA-owned BioWare, will arrive on consoles at some stage after its PC release early next year, ShackNews reports.
Not a huge amount is known of the game, though it has been billed as the ‘spiritual successor’ to Baldur’s Gate. It has also been revealed that the RPG will use a brand new game engine called Eclipse.
No platforms have been confirmed, nor has the studio said if the game will be a direct port or a console-specific outing.
BioWare is famed for its work on successful PC titles Baldurs Gate and Neverwinter Nights, as well as cult RPGs Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire and Mass Effect. It is also currently working on Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood for Nintendo DS.
