Square Enix exec confirms that FFXIII spin-off will not be joining fellow RPG in moving to Xbox 360
With the shock news that Final Fantasy XIII will be released on Xbox 360 alongside PS3 next year still rippling across the industry, Square Enix executive Shinki Hashimoto has confirmed that Final Fantasy Versus XIII, a second RPG due out next year, will remain a PS3 exclusive.
Speaking to PSU, Hashimoto confirmed: “We won't change policy. Final Fantasy Versus XIII is still a PS3 exclusive.”
It’s good news for PS3, particularly with talk already emerging of other big exclusive third party IPs possibly following FFXIII’s lead by making the journey to Microsoft’s console.
Versus XIII will be set in the same universe as FFXIII, but will offer a self-contained plot and characters. Also due for release next year is Final Fantasy Agito XIII, a mobile phone title. The three games combined will form the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII collection.

@Smithy - "Poor Sony." Oh dear mate, get a life, same could be said of "Poor Microsoft" when Bioshock got announced for the PS3...
FFXII is still going to be massive on the PS3. I bet it won't sell at all for the 360 in Japan. But in the US it will probably sell more on the 360. So what! Who cares!? I don't. You seem to get a weird kick out of this story and thinking it signals the end of the PS3. Personally I can't see that happening.

i have a XB 360 myself and i can see where Square is coming from they are flat broke or near enough and the staff where working overtime most weeks to try and get the game finished Microsoft saw their chance and took it. which was the usal money dump to get the FFXIII project onto their machine to boost sales in Asia and earn the respect of Japanese RPG fanatics. but this same process will most proberly happen again to Vurses as all 3 project is running square.s money problems to the ground and they most proberly have taken loans out to pay for the games and any supporting companies that are helping square (if there are any)
