Boss Don Mattrick says platform holder is working with Bungie on brand new offering for the franchise
Halo fans saddened by not only the complete absence of Halo content from Microsoft’s E3 conference, but also the release date slip of Halo Wars, can now take solace in the apparent confirmation from Microsoft that a new Halo title is indeed in development.
In an interview with MTV News, Xbox boss Don Mattrick said that there was no mention made of the title in the press conference as there was already plenty of content.
Though very little else was said, Mattrick did state that the new title is most definitely not Halo Wars, and nor is it the secret Peter Jackson Halo project.
There have been rumours recently that a squad-based Halo game is in the works, and that, interestingly, it does not feature the famous Master Chief.
The news comes in stark contrast to speculative reports that Microsoft decided to pull any Halo related news from its conference at the last minute.

cool
The guys at Bungie are a great team as they don't forget about a game once its made. They maintain it and are always looking for new ways to improve on it. Would be great to see what they could do with the game without MC, as while it is their flagship game im sure at some level they are little bored with him and would be more enthusiastic about getting to stretch their creative wings a little.
Re: cool
well i guess you gotta milk that cash cow eh, while the fan boys still love halo, personally i love both all consoles but never ever got what the deal was with halo, it looks like some kids fluffy dream about aliens, maybe the first was ground breaking true, but the last 2, hmm lacking fresh ideas and direction, 3 seemed like 2 redone ??
Re: Re: cool
"some kids fluffy dream"?
WTF are you smoking? can I have some?
Since when do kids dreams have aliens being shot to pieces with blood and gore all over the place?
Re: Re: Re: cool
