Capcom and Sony Pictures tease fans with Resident Evil: Degeneration info
Capcom and Sony Pictures have confirmed that the latest in the Resident Evil Movie series, dubbed Degeneration, will be released this year.
The duo showed off sneak previews of the fully CG-animated title at last week Comic Con in San Diego, US.
The title will have its theatrical debut in Japan in the Autumn, following on Blu-Ray, DVD and PSP in North America later this year. A PAL release is yet to be confirmed.
Capcom describes the plot as:
‘The "Umbrella Incident" that took place in Raccoon City ended with a missile attack ordered by the government intended to wipe out the deadly zombie virus. Following this catastrophe, the Umbrella Corporation’s stock plummeted.

This serious blow to the business giant resulted in its complete dissolution. Seven years later, at an airport somewhere in the United States, on an ordinary autumn afternoon, a zombie is unleashed. Now, in an airport beginning to fill with the undead, the horrific disaster is about to repeat itself...’

I've watched the first and second movie and I think they could've made them so much better.

Its an animated CGI film, not anything to do with that Janovich series or whatever she is called, so you might be ok. Then again, if its made by japs, odds on its gonna have all the emotional maturity of a traditional Bollywood film . . . .

I'm a huge fan of Resident Evil (not the atrocious movies) and I I have high hopes for it since that douche director of the live action films isn't touching it.

The first Resident Evil movie was actually pretty good. Second was terrible, so bad in fact that I haven't made the effort to see the third yet.

just to let you know you should give the third film a look, much much better than the second and I would go far as to say not far off from the first movie.
We own a DVD shop and I always make sure I order my copy when the batch arrives!! Another good one is Cloverfield, great movie!

I THINK ALL THE RESIDENT EVIL MOVIES WERE GOOD. IF THINK ABOUT IT WHY MAKE THE MOVIE LIKE THE VIDEO GAME YOU ALREADY KNOW WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE MOVIE. SO ITS GOOD TO ADD DIFFERENT PLOTS. FOR EXAMPLE HARRY POTTER NOT EVERYTHING THAT THE BOOK WROTE ON THE PLOT IS NOT IN THE MOVIE IS SIMILAR BUT DIFFERENT PLOT. KNOW THE GAME BLOOD RAIN IS A BAD AS GAME BUT THE MOVIE SUCKED AND MADE THE GAME LOOK BAD. THE ONLY REASON THE MOVIE SUCKED IS BECAUSE THEY TRY TO MAKE SIMILAR PLOT OF THE VIDEO GAME AND ADD STUFF . KNOW THAT MOVIE CANT GET AWAY WITH THAT BUT RESIDENT EVIL CAN. DO THE RESEARCH AND MAYBE YOU WILL ALL UNDERSTAND.

Well i think that the resident evil 2 was a good one, number 1 could have been so much better yeah that is true, and three could have been way more outgoing there wasnt really that much zombie fights in it and i think it have been much better if it would have had more zombie fights but it is still the best one yet!!!!!!!!

Ok fair enough i was expecting the films to be like what we've seen in the game's & maybe explained a bit more why Racoon City & why the Mansion & loads of other things. But i must say i do like the films you see Resident Evil is all about peoples story's through survival horror & like Outbreak the films are different story's told at that time. & i'm expecting now in the films Alice to turn evil or just to powerfull she can't controll it & get to see either Leon or Chris or both that would be good, we aint seen that in a game yet interesting?

been waiting all this time for the new resident evill film to come out, spoke to my mate and he said don't bother those git's have made it into a cartoon not like the other 3 films.
why do they have to bugger about with these films, just leave it how it was going.
milla jovovich is not bad,in the third film i think she showed her self off.
extinction; the story dragged but the fight scene pulled it back.
so i'm waiting bated breath.
