Square Enix’s revisiting of classic RPG making its way to Nintendo’s machine next month in the UK
The DS version of classic NES RPG title Final Fantasy IV will be released in the UK and PAL territories on September 5th, developer and publisher Square Enix has confirmed.
FFIV has been fully kitted out with improved 3D graphics, fully-voiced cut-scenes, a rejuvenated musical score and a host of new in-game content.
“Final Fantasy IV is one of the most significant titles in the history of the Final Fantasy franchise,” Square Enix president and chief executive officer John Yamamoto stated.
“It has been remarkably enhanced for the Nintendo DS, making it a great opportunity for our fans to experience its deep story and ground-breaking battle system in an exciting and innovative new way.”
This is not the first time that FFIV has been remade, with the original NES version having subsequently made the move to the SNES, PlayStation, WonderSwan and Game Boy Advance.
