PS3 add-on will arrive on September 19th; Device given SRP of £69.99
Sony has announced that Freeview PVR device PlayTV will launch on September 19th in the UK for £69.99.
According to a post on official Sony site Three Speech, the PS3 device allows ‘recorded content to be transferred to your PSP, or viewed remotely with Remote Play - something we reckon will come in quite handy’.
Sony boasts that the device is 'future proof' for HDTV transmissions – currently planned by OFCOM to be introduced in the UK between 2009 and 2012, as the analogue signal is turned off.

it does record !
i was at a recent demo of this product and it does record ! and you can transfer footage to ext harddrives etc

i dont know what the hell crazyeighty8 is on about it certainly does record in full 1080p quality and it definately does transfer onto your ps3 HDD from which you can transfer it elsewhere...so dont listen to crazyeighty8 he must be a xbox fanboy jajaja
