Big Ommission
How come The Daily Mail hasn't been nominated?
They regularly have big gaming stories.
Their viewpoint may be a bit rabid, but that adds to the fun.

Haha yeah, nominations like this should always be open to as many perceptions and views as possible, like ones from the Daily Mail lol.
Re: Re: Big Ommission
Can someone explain to me how once again individual Edge writers have managed to get nominations, given that nothing in Edge is bylined?
Re: Re: Re: Big Ommission
Again, some nominations have undermined the credibility of all this. Xbox World nominated for 'best mag', but not X360 or 360 Gamer? An editor placed in the best writer category (like last year)?
This is just an excuse for a party, isn't it? C'mon, drop the 'awards' and just get pissed.
Bigger Ommission
Where is VideoGaiden or Consolevania in the Games Broadcast section???
The stuff they have put out in the last year has been superb.
Write ins acceptable?
Re: Bigger Ommission
Ed Zitron? Is that made up?
Re: Re: Bigger Ommission
@ Gowans007
Maybe nobody nominated them?
Re: Re: Re: Bigger Ommission
Where the hell is Retro Gamer? It's one of the best magazines out there right now. Sure, it's niche, but the quality and insight of the title is unparalleled.
And the Edge writers' getting individual attention when nothing is bylined is a farce. Still fancy them for best magazine though, should have won it last year. Edge has gotten better in the last few years, whereas GamesTM hasn't gotten anywhere.
A very good question...
Edge may not be bylined but if you actually read it enough you can tell who's written what.
It does deserve the award for best magazine though. It has improved considerably over the last twelve months whereas Games TM has actually slipped.
On another note, where did Gamespot get the credibility to gain two nominations?
Re: A very good question...
"Edge may not be bylined but if you actually read it enough you can tell who's written what."
But what if the award goes to the wrong person? How many innocent people have to be given media awards before we stop this barbaric practice?
Re: Re: A very good question...
I enjoyed the videogamer show but no nomination either
Re: Re: Re: A very good question...
Jim Sterling from Destructoid UK should be on this list. That's a huge omission. He's way edgier and more outspoken game critic than half the nobodies on that list
