US: Nintendo dominates July

Wii and DS outsell all; PS3 sales drop post MGS4 – but still beat 360’s

Nintendo is celebrating another month as the biggest selling platform holder in the US – with both Wii and DS proving the two best perfoming consoles in July.

DS sold the most in the month, with a whopping 608,400 units shifted. Wii sold 555,000.

PlayStation 3 shifted 224,900 in the month – almost half of what it managed in June, when Konami's MGS4 was released – followed by PSP with 221,700.

Xbox 360 sold 204,800, whilst 155,500 PS2s were snapped up in the month.
