Jon Brook departing in September, Emma Kitching and Anna Downing promoted
Gamestation has revealed that its current head of marketing Jon Brook will be leaving the retailer in September, with Emma Kitching and Anna Downing promoted to head of marketing and senior marketing manager respectively.
Kitching joined Gamestation from Northern Foods and has gained three years of experience within the firm’s marketing team – most recently as senior marketing manager. She will now lead the team to drive the brand forward and help deliver Gamestation’s latest Christmas campaign.
Downing assumes her new role having previously held a senior marketing position at HMV before moving across to Gamestation four years ago to lead the product team. She will now be responsible for delivering Gamestation’s product marketing strategy.
Gamestation managing director Martyn Gibbs said of the moves: “We’re indebted to Jon Brook for the sterling work he’s done over the past five years which has been instrumental in developing the Gamestation brand.”
“Thankfully, the strong marketing team he developed are now poised to drive the brand forward to even greater success. Our rivals had better watch out!”

Retain his title as "Hardcore Gaming Legend"?

As long as Gamestations across the country continue to be dark, dinghy holes that smell of BO we have nothing to worry about.

Hopefully they'll sort out some new press photo's so that when Gamestation is mentioned some 5 year old photo from a Blockbuster store isn't used.
