Religious ‘Guitar Hero’ announced

Title allows gamers to play along with Christian Rock bands – but is unaffiliated to Activision original

A Christian clone of Guitar Hero is set to be launched in the US.

Guitar Praise is not affiliated with the original Activision game, and allows the PC/Mac game owners to jam with Christian rock acts rather than mainstream bands.

The title is advertised on the website of creator Digital Praise, where you can find a list of songs involved. he company says its mission is to 'glorify God through interactive media'.

The site reads: "Grab the guitar and play along with top Christian bands! Shred those riffs or blast the bass…you add a unique sound to the solid Christian rock… you'll soon be rockin' with the best while praising the Lord!

It adds: "As the song and lyrics play, colorful notes scroll down the screen. Players must keep up by matching the notes to the fret buttons on the guitar controller included with the game.

"Four levels of play are offered—as the player completes songs, more tracks are unlocked and the challenge increases. Guitar Praise features 52 of the most inspirational and pulsating tracks from the Christian rock world, all by the original artists."

The game is set to retail for around $99 from September.

What? Mockery? Please wake up and smell the burning rosemary, which should hopefully negate your negative energy.
If people are willing to buy guitar hero clone with tambourine attachment then so be it. I can just see some publisher thinking about putting in a bid for the bible license as I type.

FGSake!

Joke! Gaming is all about getting away from all the **** that religion causes. There is no way this game should be released and if anything is going to cause more upset with other religions than any other. I would rank this worse than GTA for upsetting the majority

Insanity how money can be wasted on this!

God damn America!

I think this is a good idea. It's an untapped market – particularly in the US – and can only help to open the eyes of those religious idiots who assume games are innately evil, in the same way that the idiot thought rock was 20-30 years ago before the church adopted it.

@12

Thats your opinion, what do you bealive happens when you die? what do you bealive is the origin of the earth? To some extent that is your religion. I understand you thinking religion is fake however you have to understand that we live in a world where everyone should be able to bealive what they want without people telling them its bull****. So please don't post saying that religion should be banned banned everywhere or your just creating a problem.

I'm creating a problem. Religion is the cause of wars. That is the problem my friend.
You die, you die thats that.
Who created what we live on today. Certainly not some man in 6 days who then had a rest on the 7th.

@14

I never said you have to bealive religion but you need to understand that some people bealive that and you have to accept them. Do you have any proof there is no god? no? then don't complain. Don't get me wrong, i'm mostly atheist (I bealive there is something when everyone dies but don't bealive in Jesus coming to earth etc) however we cannot say that all religion is rubbish as we don't have proof, and probably never will do, that it is rubbish.
