SCEE reportedly states that GT5 Prologue and movie bundles will not be available outside of mainland Europe
Contrary to yesterday’s report that both Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Blu-Ray movie PS3 hardware bundles were heading to the UK in September and October respectively, SCEE has now reportedly stated that neither will be launched outside of mainland Europe.
Blog PS3 Attitude claims to have official word from Sony on the matter, with a spokesperson stating: “The UK does not generally offer hard bundles. These particular bundles are not Europe-wide and will not be offered to the UK market.”
MCV still wouldn’t bet against some UK-based bundling activity occuring before Christmas – with LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2 and maybe even PES 2009 the most likely candidates. Don’t rule out some sort of UK-centric Blu-Ray movie bundle, either.

Slap in the Face
Well, what a slap in the face this is for the British.
It's the British that buys the most PS3's, It's the British that buys the most games and this is how Sony treat us.
I'm O.K. I have a PS3 already, but what about everyone else.
Well they can always buy one from mainland Europe and stick two fingers up in the face of Sony.
This is now a new low.
Re: Slap in the Face
Well, considering that one or two stores are offering an 80gb PS3 with a copy of GT5P AND a selected Blu-Ray title, is it really a loss?
This package is £300 with either (GT5P or Blu-Ray)... I know for a extra £25 what I'd rather pay for... Or at least going over this weekends sales that is :D
Re: Re: Slap in the Face
Yeah I agree with Firegor.
Sony seems to hate the UK - even though they/we are the ones who are buying their products.
And it's a crock of **** about how the UK "doesn't offer hard bundles"
I see bundles all the time. Some of them from the main companies (like MS or Sony) and some from the game stores.
But they are trying to reason that we don't buy bundles, so why release them? When we actually do buy bundles.
