Football Manager 2009 kicks off

Sega has confirmed that Sports Interactive’s Football Manager 2009 will be released on PC, Mac and PSP on November 14th – but there’s bad news for console owners with the confirmation that there’s no Xbox 360 version planned this year.

The details were revealed last night at a London press gathering, and through a number of videos the developer has posted on YouTube.

The reason cited for the lack of a home console conversion was the troubles Sports Interactive has had transferring the PC interface to the Xbox 360 joypad – something that anyone who has played the 360 version will understand.

The firm’s Miles Jacobson added that he is looking to titles such as Take 2’s Civilization: Revolution for guidance on how to best make use of the 360’s controller.
