Sainsbury’s won out at last night’s MCV and Xbox 360 Industry Pub Quiz, beating The Sun in a nail-biting tie-breaker. The champs received the top prize of an Xbox 360, a 12-month subscription to Live and a copy of Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise, all courtesy of sponsors Microsoft.

17 teams crammed into the AKA Bar in Holborn, London, for the chance to emerge victorious in the third Industry Pub Quiz of the year.

In a tightly fought contest, HMV followed the leaders in third, while PC World achieved fourth, with Koch and law firm Sheridans tied in fifth place. Microsoft snatched sixth, while Amazon and Ubisoft tied for seventh.

Sainsbury’s weren’t the only team to go away with prizes though, with a serving of spot prizes on offer throughout the night, courtesy of round sponsors 505 Games, Sheridans, Ubisoft, Xbox 360, Koch Media, Atari, D3P, Vivendi and Handle Recruitment.

And there is hope for the losers to regain their pride and test their mettle once again in the next Industry Pub Quiz on December 3rd.
