Microsoft confirms GTAIV DLC this ‘autumn’

Platform holder seemingly nails down pre-Christmas arrival for exclusive downloadable content for Rockstar’s epic

As part of its press statement confirming the previously rumoured but now confirmed price cuts for its range of Xbox 360 SKUs in the UK, Microsoft has also seemingly nailed down a pre-Christmas arrival for its exclusive Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable content.

A snippet from the statement reads: “Continuing its blistering pace on the Xbox 360 platform, the first of the Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable episodes for this record-breaking Grand Theft Auto IV will be available this autumn — the only console with new GTA IV content available this Christmas.”

Well spotted, Videogamer.

Funny, if this was PS3 DLC you would be championing it.
Its a shame you seem to love sony so much you feel the need to somehow come to this site and justify your purchase from the looks of this and the other article about the Xbox 360.
Quite pathetic really, but whatever floats your boat.

Content's content?

Just got a 360 when the price dropped on this side of the pond last weekend. Has there been any word on what the downloadable content will be? New locations, missions, weapons, or vehicles would be quite good. New dates and ringtones less so.

GTAIV is the most dissapointing game on next-gen consoles.

I traded mine in a month after launch - never finished it & still don't miss it and I think most gamers have ended up finding this iteration drastically wanting.

GTA San Andreas was so much more fun in virtually every way - I've been playing it every day since I dumped GTAIV forever.

What a load of nonesense no. 7. GTA San Andreas has to be the worse GTA in the series fair enough it sold the most in its lifetime since launch. That game is so glitchy its unbelievable. At least in GTA IV you have a choice in situations which impact the gameplay later on, the mobile phone feature is class. If you ever explain to people who have never played GTA IV they can't believe all these features are in a game. The download content is the must have for the Xmas period, shame PS3 owners won't be able to get in on the new missions, new cars, and cool up to date things rockstar will be providing this quarter.
