TGS: Now Tekken 6 makes move to Xbox 360

Namco Bandai brawler no longer PlayStation exclusive, N3 II also confirmed for 360

As part of its conference at the Tokyo Games Show, Microsoft has confirmed that Namco Bandai’s Tekken 6 will be released simultaneously on both Xbox 360 and PS3 in autumn 2009.

Tekken is a long-standing PlayStation exclusive, having made its name on Sony’s first machine. However, following Square Enix’s decision to release Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox 360 rumours abound concerning other possible franchises that might make the move to Microsoft’s machine.

In more Xbox 360, it was also confirmed that a sequel to Phantagram and Q Entertainment’s N3: Ninety-Nine Nights is in development for Xbox 360. It is not yet known whether legendary developer Tetsuya Mizuguchi, who was the producer of the first outing, will be involved in the sequel.

Namco Bandai have made an amazing choice to make it a multi platform game, why limit yourself to making a game for one platform when another platform is doing even better.
Given the Xbox 360 install base and the millions of Xbox Live gamers Tekken 6 will probably be one of the best fighting games ever played on the Xbox 360.

Move over DOA.

I just hope theres a half decent arcade stick to go with the XBOX360 release.

All the decent sticks seem to be for PS3 only. That isnt a bad thing but makes tracking one down a bit tricky if you dont live in Japan.

I'll wait and see before deciding which format to go for.
