xmas releases
Not much coming out that stands out this year apart from LBP.
Re: xmas releases
LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2 will be the big ones, I think (maybe Motorstorm 2 as well), but I'd actually expect some of the third party, multi-platform titles to do the best business. COD5 and Far Cry 2 are looking very promising indeed.
Re: Re: xmas releases
Sony will have 3 of the big 4 sellers this xmas:
Motorstorm 2, Resistance 2 and Little Big Planet. The only other game that will compete will be COD5
Re: Re: Re: xmas releases
3 of the big 4! are you mental
Re: Re: Re: xmas releases
@3
Look at you go..
Anyway, The competition looks good this year, MS have Gears Of War 2, Fable 2 and Left4Dead (console exclusive, the PC also has it). Whilst Sony have Resistance 2, LBP and Motorstorm 2. But I think the big sellers will be the Multiplatform games, i.e Fallout 3, Dead Space, Far Cry 2, COD: WAW.
All I can say is it looks very good for gamers. Sony & MS will be reeling in the bucks.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: xmas releases
Good things for the PS3, but what about the PSP ?
It's ridiculous.

Like the 3 Buzz & 5 Singstar games you mean...? And wasn't LBP mean' to appeal to the dreaded Casuals too?

The only thing retailers are hoping for this Christmas as far as the Wii and DS are concerned are suitable quantities for both hardware and Wii Fit. I hope I'm wrong as parents will buy third party titles as stocking fillers (Imagine *title*, High School Musical).
But you cant expect, this Xmas at least, Nintendo's games lineup to compare alongside the first/third party that 360 and PS3 have on offer. Like I said, as a retailer I really hope I'm wrong. And as much as I loath Singstar and Buzz releases, they do sell (at least in my experience) around Christmas, especially the ABBA I've heard they hope to release alongside the 'Mama Mia'.

Dont forget WoTlK which will sell by the bucket load, although i dont expect this to be xmas number 1 as it will probably have a massive sales spike upon release and then will fall back.
