Up to 200 Best Buy stores coming to Europe in '09

Tangible details of the giant US retailer’s European push emerge

Best Buy’s European invasion will consist of between 100 and 200 stores launched over the next five years, the retailer revealed in a joint announcement with its partner The Carphone Warehouse today.

And it looks like the UK will be getting the bulk of the superstores – the first of which will open next summer. The US giant will then make its online and retail push into mainland Europe after the first wave of launches here.

Its gonna be a white knuckle ride when stores like Best Buy start to take charge here in the UK. Hell, Tesco are already ****ing up us Indies by selling Fifa 09 for £29 quid!
It upsets me to say this but I think us Indies are fooked, and it wont be a long way off either!!
