LittleBigPlanet has ‘won over cynical critics’

Sony’s marketing team celebrates critical success of landmark PS3 title

Sony has told MCV that it has the range and breadth of titles to hit every part of the gaming market this Christmas – with the eagerly awaited LittleBigPlanet the key component.

SCEE UK marketing manager Adam Boita said that the 3D platform title had convinced “even the most cynical of critics” – in the week that the game earned an average 95% score on Metacritic.

“The icing on the cake has to be LittleBigPlanet,” he told MCV. “Even the most cynical of critics have been won over by this simply wonderful game.”

95% and rising...

It's now an average of 96% and I still think it will rise. Although this simply isn't my type of game. But it's good for the PS3, very original.

IGN just gave it 9.5 love it or hate it, its simply innovating, and will become one of the biggests games this year, i think its got the potential to become as big as the sims franchise

Yup, sure is a great game - a lot of work and love has gone into putting this together, so it deserves to do well. I have a 6 yr old son who loved messing about on this.

From having a bit of a muck-about with the beta must say that it took me a while to get used to Sackboy's momentum, spent quite a bit of time trying (and failing) to get myself in the right position to make the correct jump. One other thing, hope the creativity continues, just hope that we do not get swamped with dangly-sponges over pits of fire.

must go an reserve a copy (and work out if my meagre budget will stretch to a Playstation Eye).

At last, something that makes me jealous of PS3 owners.

Roll on God of War 3, Home, and all the other goodies they have been promising for awhile!

This game may very well be huge in Japan as well.
I already preordered my copy and I can't wait to play. I also need to upgrade my harddrive.

This is actually the first thing that has made me consider a PS3 but is probably not enough to tip the balance.

A nice announcement from the ICO team would be great though...
