Terminal Reality-developed title a year away, says movie actor
Hollywood funny man Dan Aykroyd has said that the Ghostbusters game will be published by Atari and will be out this time next year.
Speaking with Dallas radio station 105.3 KLLI this morning, the Ghostbusters actor said that the game has been picked up by Atari following its dismissal from Activision Blizzard’s release schedule.
MCV has contacted Atari for comment.
Another high profile casualty of the Activision Blizzard merger was 50 Cent: Blood On The Sand – which rumours this week suggested has been acquired by THQ.

Dan Ackroyd is a legend!
Dan Ackroyd is a legend!
Good news, I was very disappointed not to be playing Ghostbusters next gen game this Christmas but I’ve waited long enough for a decent Ghostbusters game and I’m happy to wait a little longer as any glitches and bugs can be ironed out (right). Now bring on Back to the future, init!
Re: Dan Ackroyd is a legend!
lol. 100% with you!!!
Just make sure it's decent!
Re: Dan Ackroyd is a legend!
Poor Dan bless 'im. He's a bit confused. He thinks its still the 80s and its coming out on the 2600
Re: Re: Dan Ackroyd is a legend!
I thought Atari weren't doing singleplayer games any more?
No offense to Dan Ackroyd, except maybe to point out that he hasn't been hollywood or a funny-man for a fair while now, but I'd believe it more from anyone else involved than him.

BC
His documentary on UFO’s and alien’s whilst smoking cigarettes was very funny and had me convinced. Lol.
Oh and maybe we can sort something out here, is 'Ackroyd how you spell his name or is it 'Aykroyd'?
Re: Re: Re: Dan Ackroyd is a legend!
Great news if it is true. The man is a legend, he may not have been at his best in recent years, but with a back catalogue including Ghostbusters (1 & 2), Trading Places and Blues Brothers, he will always be a legend in my eyes.
Hopefully the bugs will be ironed out by next year, can anyone from Atari come out and confirm it?
All Mad
Don't want to be mean but.. I bet that Atari will not be there this time next year. Did i not read that film game should start being AAA? This will not even be one a LOL.
