Namco Bandai to release both Darth Vader and Yoda as downloadable characters on Xbox 360 and PS3 this Thursday
Developer Namco Bandai has confirmed that its two previously platform-exclusive Soul Calibur IV characters Darth Vader and Yoda will both be available to download on Xbox Live and PSN respectively this Thursday.
Until now, Yoda was exclusive to the Xbox 360 version and Darth Vader to the PS3 version. However, a spare slot in the character rosters of both versions has lead many to claim that this announcement was on the way.
The Dark Lord of the Sith will cost Xbox 360 owners 400 Microsoft Points (around £3.40), whilst the price of Jedi Master Yoda on Sony’s PSN has yet to be decided in Europe, though it will cost $4.99 in North America.

Shame on Namco Bandai
Shame on Namco Bandai, I'll *never* pay for that.
Re: Shame on Namco Bandai
Oh yes shame on them... its not as though other games on the PS3 and Xbox charge extra for downloadable extras... really get a clue, this will be a constant with most new titles now where extras can be purchased if required. Just live with it.
Re: Re: Shame on Namco Bandai
I would rather pay for a new character or two, than for the lame costume packs they have been releasing recently.
Re: Re: Re: Shame on Namco Bandai
Cheaper than buying all 3 versions of the game for SC2 characters, AND you can play VS matches with both.
If that price is true it's not as bad as I'd feared, be nicer if it was free and all, but I guess you gotta pay for that license somehow.
