Xbox Live Primetime to miss NXE launch

Integrated quiz show channel now scheduled for release in Spring 2009

Microsoft has announced that Xbox Live Primetime, an online quiz network originally announced as part of the firm’s New Xbox Experience, will not arrive alongside the upcoming Xbox 360 update on November 19th.

Forbes quotes the platform holder as saying: “The delay is necessary in order to ensure a smooth launch of the system's new user interface.”

Live Primetime takes the form of a range of virtual game shows that take place at scheduled times and allow Xbox Live users to compete against each other in real-time.

However, NXE will still include a number of top line features – including a brand new visual interface, the Mii-like Xbox Live Avatars, full game installs, internet access to the Microsoft Store, the Xbox Live Party system and some enhanced monitor resolution support.

I was really looking forward to taking part in a few quiz's when it came out, I guess it will help the scene it quiz game sell a bit more before it comes out.

I saw similar or the same news over at Spong but they didn't say anything about a Spring 09 release from what I read and it could be the way I read it is that Microsoft are going to release it when the NXE comes out?
