LittleBigPlanet server woes continue

Technical problems mean many North American gamers are unable to take PS3 title online

Following the recent turmoil surrounding the religious sensitivity of its soundtrack, and the subsequent delay and re-dating of Media Molecule’s PS3 exclusive platformer LittleBigPlanet, the game’s North American release has been blighted by technical problems.

Despite being patched to version 1.03 both here and in the US, many users are reporting serious problems trying to get the game online. Sony has said it is working on the problem, but it’s yet another blow for the many fans of the critically adored title.

LittleBigPlanet will be released next week in the UK on November 5th.

I wonder if Sony are doing this on purpose.
They certainly seem to be getting the column inches recently, which has definately raised the profile of this game in the mainstream press.
No such thing as bad publicity?

"No such thing as bad publicity?"
I suspect there is, I suspect that Gary Glitter won't be making another comeback even with the column inches he's been given lately.

Completely off topic, but Gary Glitter earned $100,000 in royalties for one song this week, bad publicity or not he's not suffering for being a disgusting cretin.

Not surprising. When Metal Gear Solid and GTA IV launched on the PS3, they each had _significant_ connectivity issues as well. It's become increasingly clear that new big game = network difficulties for PS3/PSN.

Basicaly so what, don't watch a Tyson fight, don't watch a polanski film or anything else with any of the artists that have been found of an equivalent crime.
