
A good day for Activision-Blizzard as it collects UK Publisher gong and Infinity Ward shooter picks up four awards
Those in attendance at today’s 26th annual Golden Joystick Awards are currently getting stuck into the after-show drinks, with the Activision-Blizzard crowd most rapturous as the publisher celebrates a triumphant afternoon in London.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare scooped no less than four awards in total, winning the Nuts All-Nighter, ESA PC Game of the Year, GamesRadar.com Online Game of the Year and Virgin Media Ultimate Game of the Year accolades.
In addition, upcoming release Call of Duty: World at War won the Play.com One to Watch category, whilst Activision Blizzard was crowned the Future UK Publisher of the Year.
Other winners on the night include Grand Theft Auto IV, which claimed both the BBC 1Xtra Soundtrack of the Year and Arvato Digital Services Xbox Game of the Year gongs. Rockstar North was also awarded the CVG.co.uk UK Developer of the Year title.
