Online retailer slashes RRP on PS3, 360 and Wii SKUs

Following the firm’s victory in the Golden Joysticks last week, Play.com has slashed the price of FIFA ’09 to £19.99 on Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The offer is part of the firm’s ‘Deal of the Day’ Christmas promotion, and is accompanied by several ‘Deals of the Week’, which this week includes Facebreaker on PS3 and 360 for £14.99 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 for PS3 and 360 for £29.99.

FIFA ’09 was subject to severe price cutting last month, with leading supermarkets reducing the game’s price to under £30.

Do people think play are losing £15 per unit, just to clear over-stock?

Or have EA sold them a load of stock cheap? I do notice all the games are EA titles.

nope this must the infamous EA Bundle stock which is used for high street retaillers to bundle FOC with consoles but Indies never see it until 2 weeks after release when we all get offered this stock at below £20 Trade.

by the time we get the bundle stock Asda & the high street & now online normally discount it as Play have done

Why do Indies never get this stock for day & why do EA always have Bundle Stock but you never see an Official Bundle ???????????????????????
