Team Ninja sings PS3's praises

It seems the studio’s love for all things 360 left with former boss Tomonubu Itagaki

Whilst Team Ninja was one of Xbox 360’s staunchest Japanese allies under the stewardship of the now departed Tomonubu Itagaki, it seems that the new regime at the outfit has found time to feel the love for both PS3 and Wii.

The article is on Gamasutra. Its so general you could conclude anything form it.

Quote: " It doesn't necessarily mean that I'm just in favor of the PS3 console and that I'm not going to work on the 360, but it really depends on the audience and what we want to deliver, in order to make the most entertaining content. "

The title is fine. In the article they are quoted as saying as this:

"There is greater potential, and we see that possibility the most in the PS3. For any developer that’s been working on all of the platforms that are available today, I think they would agree that the PS3 is the most powerful system out there. "

Not sure how you can misinterpret that...

Right Jack, that's it. Fanboyism is clearly at the top of your agenda. It is not, however, at the top of ours. Comment deleted and bannage pending.

At the risk of p*ssing off Ben (and his ban hammer), I have to slightly agree with Jack. Not the Fanboy comments, but the fact that this article's title suggest that the PS3 gets special praise, where infact it praises every console. PS3 gets an early mention, then Wii, then 360 and then DS. Hitoshi Hasegawa has pretty covered all his bases.

I would love to see some good Sony news (and this *is* actually good Sony news) but it's very diluted.

Anyway heres the article : http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/3836/team_ninja_ready_for_more.php" onclick="window.open ( this.href ); return false;" class="comment_url" >http://www.gamasut...e.php

You decide.

They are actually doing Quantum Theory - a PS3 exclusive Japanese Gears Of War. Maybe thats the route of their enthusiasm, still its nice to hear kind words for PS3 from a key third party dev.

It's probably their first PS3 title, it's PS3 exclusive, they're hardly likely to sing anything other than praise really are they?

When you've been in this industry for any length of time, you learn to take the "singing praise developers" with a pinch of salt. It's all to earn brownie points in the hopes of future contracts. Any Wii or 360 exclusive developers would do exactly the same thing, it's good PR.

I often find it amusing to see them do this and then release a game that makes said machine look underpowered or inferior. The proof of the pudding, as they say, is in the game.
