Latest edition of PSW gives Treyarch’s WWII shooter full marks; Mag claims “Treyarch has toppled Infinity Ward”
Ahead of its release on November 14th, Future’s print magazine PSW has given Activision-Blizzard’s Call of Duty: World at War an impressive 10/10.
CVG quotes the mag as saying: “Modern Warfare was pretty much the best game on PS3 for the last year. So to hold the position that it's sequel, World At War, is a better game, is surely to stir up some controversy.
“That's right, Treyarch has toppled Infinity Ward.
“World At War takes everything great about Modern Warfare and adds to it; co-op, creative perks, new tech (dynamic flames), more elaborate maps and the Left4Dead baiting secret game mode Nazi Zombie – all of this pushes Call Of Duty into a new direction.”

stir up some controversy
For balance ...everyone who has played the beta has said it's not as good as COD4 by a fair amount
Re: stir up some controversy
I think its much better than cod 4 it just feels so much more real, then again i wasnt a big fan of 4 in the first place, but finally there is a game to topple halo on live, I will be buying this just based on my opinion of the beta.

Re: Re: Re: Re: stir up some controversy
To say that everyone who has played the beta has said it's not as good as COD4 by a fair amount is complete nonsense. For balance? Please.. grow up.
I participated in the beta and feel it's at least as good as 4, as do a lot of people that I've played with and spoken too.
Will people still be playing it a year from now like COD4???
I am one of many COD4 fans who still play it to this day and the general consensus is that it is a really good game but going on just the BETA, not as good as COD4. There seems to be some ingredient that's missing we can't put our finger on. We will all still without a doubt buy it and get our moneys worth out of it, but will people still be playin it a year from now? Hmmm....I dont't know. Only time will tell....
