LittleBigPlanet grabs fourth position as Professor Layton lands in sixth
Microsoft mega release Gears of War 2 has brushed off stiff competition from Sony and Nintendo this week to claim the No. 1 spot in the GfK-ChartTrack Top 40.
Meanwhile, last week’s number one, Fallout 3, slips to third place as FIFA ’09 holds firm in second position.
Sony’s much-hyped and critically acclaimed LittleBigPlanet makes its grand entrance in fourth spot, with THQ’s Smackdown Vs. Raw 2009 wrestling into fifth place. Nintendo also gets in on the act, with DS release Professor Layton and the Curious Village making it to No. 6.
Other new entries this week includes Guitar Hero: World Tour in at No. 17, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift in at No. 29 and Tom Clancy’s End War in No. 30.

Professor Layton
Professor Layton has sold suprisinly well this weekend, actually amazing for a DS Game.
Is it simply down to the quality of the title & the T.V advertising, or has R4 use some how been prevented?
Re: Professor Layton
Yeah, amazing chart for Layton.
Re: Re: Professor Layton
Alot of "casual adults" who have no idea what an "R4" is, will have undoubtedly bought Layton. I can imagine LBP is gonna be a slow burner that will stay int he charts for quite some time as more PS3 hardware is slowly shifted. very interested in who is gonna win between GOW and COD this time round, seeing as the MP is alot more improved on Gears this time round . . . .
Re: Re: Re: Professor Layton
Woodins, Lets face it, COD:WAW is multiplatform, Gears is not, It's pretty obvious what is going to come out on top.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Professor Layton
Yeah i agree with Jimothy. COD:WAW will undoubtedly be the biggest selling titles this Xmas, sadly.
