Jean-Claude Van Damme and Kylie Minogue to get the hi-def treatment in 2009 release
February next year looks to be the month where it all happens for Street Figher fans – as if the news of the console release of Street Fighter IV wasn’t enough to digest, gamers will now also be able to get their hands on the Blu-ray release of 1994 movie epic Street Fighter.
If you’re unfortunate enough to have missed out on the live-action masterpiece, it starred ‘The Muscles from Brussels’ Jean-Claude Van Damme as US Air Force hero Guile and sexy poplet Kylie Minogue as British Special Agent Cammy. People may have told you it was rubbish, but they are wrong.
Dubbed The Street Fighter: Extreme Edition, the Blu-ray release will boast 1080p Kylie loveliness. 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound, as well as a host of extras including a ‘Making Of’ documentary, deleted scenes, director commentary and BD Live support.
Double the Van Dammage indeed.

Lee Moorhouse
I had to read this post three times before it sank in. I thought this was a joke post. "Epic" isn't a word I would use to describe this film. I would go as far as saying that this is one of the worst films I have ever seen. I would rather watch Tank Girl, at a push watch all three Lord of the Rings, but i'd have to think about the latter.

As a rule of thumb, films on this list should not be re-issued on HD...
OMG, SF the movie; what a steaming t#rd of a film, it's certainly on my top ten crappiest ever list :-)
Re: Re: Re: Lee Moorhouse
ahh and finally a reason to buy myself that Blu-ray player or maybe the PS3 after all, with such quality releases such as this I'm surprised Blu-ray did not squahsed DVD long ago!
