GTA IV DLC and Chinatown Wars delayed until spring?

Strauss Zelnick hints that both Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable content and debut DS outing could slip until Q2 2009

Speaking at a US-based BMO Capital Markets Conference in New York earlier today, Take 2 CEO Strauss Zelnick has suggested that both the upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive downloadable content for GTA IV and anticipated DS outing Chinatown Wars have been delayed until spring next year.

MTV quotes Zelnick as stating: “The DLC is close to being complete. That said, it may move into the second quarter. Downloadable content is a big undertaking. It is important to be really special.”

And as for GTA Chinatown Wars, Zelnick added that the title is no longer guaranteed to arrive before the end of the 2009 fiscal first quarter and will most likely arrive in the first half of the fiscal year, which ends in April.

The comments back up recent claims by Rockstar’s Dan Houser in which he was unable to commit to a 2008 release for the Xbox 360 DLC.

As long as the gta dlc is fairly priced to the content and provides more fun its all worth the delay.
Only problem is, how big the install base is still that will allow people to take advantage of it. At least with the new dashboard it will get alot of attention shown when released.
