PS3 Wireless Keypad priced and dated

November 28th arrival for Sony’s chat accessory in the UK, with an RRP of £24.99

Sony has confirmed that its Wireless PS3 Keypad will be released in the UK on November 28th and will retail for £24.99, according to Eurogamer.

The kit was originally unveiled at the Leipzig Games Convention in August, and will allow users to more easily compose messages to friends, as well as enter all manner of in-game texts.

The device, which clips onto a Sixaxis or Dualshock 3 controller, boasts a full keyboard and even laptop-style touchpad which should work nicely with the PS3’s in-built web browser.

I've yet to see a photo of, or read much text about, the touchpad. Does the keyboard flip up or do you switch it to pad mode and the keys act as positioners to create a crude pad effect?

Jesus that thing looks uncomfortable, if they're gonna copy MS anyway, they might as well have gone the whole hog and put it underneath where you can reach it with your thumbs.

I think i'll stick to using a regular USB keyboard, thanks. This thing looks way too awkward to use.

I cant see how anyone can comfortably use that. Its all wrong

If they had inverted the keys, i.e up the other way, i.e you turn the controller upside down, that would of work brillaintly. As it is you cant held it comfortabley or even reach it with your thumb
