85% for 360 version, 86% for PS3, 89% for PC; 90+ reviews from IGN, Yahoo!, GameSpy and more
The average scores for Activision Blizzard’s record-breaking Call Of Duty World at War are in – and it’s levelled out at around 86 per cent.
According to US and UK reviews aggregator Metacritic, the PC version has earned an 89 per cent average review, with the PS3 SKU following on 86 and the 360 version at 85 per cent.
According to IGN, which gave the game 92 per cent: “This is a solid, confident shooter with plenty to offer the casual and hardcore alike.”
GameSpy, which gave it a 90 per cent rating, said: “Although the campaign storyline isn't nearly as engaging as the one seen in "CoD4," there should be enough memorable set pieces and intense sequences to keep you riveted throughout.
“The addition of a co-op mode brings a great deal of replay value to the proceedings, especially once you start throwing the death cards into the mix. Ultimately, it's the multiplayer and co-op action that will keep us coming back for more.”

Official Xbox Magazine also settled on 90, reporting: “Those worried that World War II has been done to death, fear not. Treyarch's willingness to push the boundaries has uncovered a side to the war few developers even knew existed, and we'll be damned if it doesn't make for one hell of a game to boot.”

World War 2 is boring
Having come across from Call of Duty 4, which in my opinion is one of the best games around, Call of Duty WaW is a massive let down. The single player isn't as good and the fact that we've gone back to WWII is such a disapointment, the old guns etc etc just bore me, just covering the same old ground.
WAW ?
Guys, i never thought they will issue this kind of old fation!. i recall the Call of duty 2 has the same GUNS/WALK mood/Motion/Game Play of this World AT WAR thing, for my self i speak, this is so let down of you WAW makers. but i say Take Motions of Call of duty 4 and put them in WAW that new Maps and Weapons. You will make Good Game, also try fix moving thing, its so old, i thought u forgot it when you Create Call of duty 4.
thanks, WAW IS DOWN, and We go back to 4.
