Mario Kart and Wii Fit top a million

Both Wii titles get ELSPA’s Diamond sales award, with each selling over a million copies in the UK

Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit have notched up one million sales each in UK, earning ELSPA’s Diamond sales award.

The Nintendo titles join Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training, The Simpsons: Hit & Run and GTA: Vice City – all of which have racked up over a million UK sales. Rockstar also has GTA: San Andreas in the millionaires club, which became the fastest title to make a million sales in just three weeks.

However, GTA IV hasn’t made the Diamond award as it’s only granted to platform-specific titles. As GTA IV is available on Xbox 360 and PS3 the title has had to make do with being a double-platinum award.
