Play.com has kicked off its Mega Monday sale, reducing a number of leading new releases to £18 or under.
Deals include Midnight Club: Los Angeles, Saints Row 2, Shaun White Snowboarding, High School Musical 3: Senior Year Dance!, GTA IV, Manhunt 2, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, The Last Remnant, Bioshock and Far Cry 2 for £17.99 each.
“Last year the 6th of December was the biggest day for online shopping with Play.com taking over 600 orders per minute in the peak period and this year we are expecting this to double,” Play.com MD Stuart Rowe told MCV.
“This year the games category has been the fastest growing area for Play.com and we’re anticipating this to continue right up to Christmas week with the number of great quality titles available really helping us achieve this growth.
“We’ve put together some great offers for Monday with the help of our publishing partners and will smash all previous sales records.”

Just had an email from GEM telling me their website now has updated SRPs reflecting the 2.5% cut in VAT... shame the Trade Ex VAT prices are still the same.

Ordered Saints Row2 - Argos had it on special at £19.99 but this undercuts even that!
And the £17.99 even includes postage!
