Konami reveals Metal Gear Solid Touch

iPhone adaptations also on the way for Dance Dance Revolution, Silent Hill and Frogger

Japanese publisher and developer Konami has finally revealed the meaning behind its Metal Gear teaser earlier this month – and as predicted by one eagle-eyed reader, it is indeed a new iPhone and iPod Touch outing.

Metal Gear Solid Touch is an original title based on the characters and events of recent PS3 release MGS4, and offers direct control through Apple’s touch screen. The game will include eight levels upon its release later this month, though further levels are promised at a later stage.

Also confirmed are iPod Touch and iPhone outings for survival horror franchise Silent Hill, rhythm-action series Dance Dance Revolution and arcade classic Frogger.

... imagine the cost of streaming 4 hours of video into your iPhone/iPod while you're playing the game ;)

I wonder if they'll sell it in the movies or games section of the Apple store?

As strong as the iPod screen is, I can't see it standing up to much "dancing on" :D

On the contrary, if Konami get DDR right on the iPhone/iPod it could really be the killer app.
