2009 releases confirmed but publisher delays The Sims 3 and Godfather 2
EA has announced as part of its latest financial posting that it will release Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Mass Effect II in Q4 this year – adding that the latter title will now be a multi-platform venture.
The pair will join a number of others in EA’s 2009 release schedule, including Fight Night 4, the new Harry Potter title, Dante’s Inferno and the recently announced Need for Speed trio.
Also confirmed was a Wii version of sci-fi survival horror Dead Space.
Also on the way is EA’s casual pairing of EA Sports Tennis and EA Sports Active. Harmonix’s Beatles title has been confirmed for the company’s 2010 financial year, meaning it will be with us before March 31st next year.
The publisher also confirmed that The Sims 3, Godfather 2 and BioWare’s Dragon Age have all been delayed from Q1 2009 to some time before the end of EA’s next financial year on March 31st 2010. EA stated that the Godfather title has been put back to provide better marketing opportunities whilst Dragon Age has been delayed to allow for it to release on console alongside PC.

Wow
Nice to see Bad Company making a comeback, just checked my list of most played games last year and I played that far more than any of the others.
If they can convince DICE to stop using that super zoomed in FPS view for once, then it could be quite promising.
If they had announced a next gen Road Rash game my head would have exploded.
I think I missed something
I think I totally missed something - when did EA get the rights for Mass Effect?
I know EA took over Bioware, but I thought the Mass Effect franchise was owned by Microsoft (like the Halo franchise is).
Hopefully EA's involvement in the game won't ruin it (like they seem to do with most things). I really enjoyed the original Mass Effect.
-Also glad to hear that Bad Company 2 is coming out. I hope DICE is handling it, they seem to be the only development team that EA owns which does anything good.
