EA: Godfather 2 delayed

Title will release in FY2010 to give EA more time to market tie-in

Electronic Arts has revealed that its Godfather 2 release will be delayed until its fiscal year 2010.

The firm’s CEO John Riccitiello said the move would give the company “more time for longer lead marketing”.

The game was initially due to release next month in the UK.

EA also announced that the PC release of long-awaited RPG Dragon Age has been moved to Q3 FY10.

The moves form part of the company's new plan to get back on track, after it was announced that its disappointing Q3 would lead to further job cuts.

Surprising, well, kind of...

Lets be honest, the last Godfather game was pretty so-so, I would go as far as saying it was down-right lame. I'm glad EA have postponed it, these are desperate times for everyone, EA can't be releasing awful games like Catwomen anymore! Maybe this recession is good for us gamers, publishers should be making sure their games are top notch, not just releasing shoddy games Haze.....

I hope the next Godfather game is awesome, come on EA, you can do it.....maybe.
