EA: The Sims 3 delayed until June

February 20th release pushed back to June 3rd to give EA more time to market title

US publisher EA has announced as part of its Q3 financial results that it is to delay the release of its upcoming The Sims 3 from February 20th to June 3rd.

EA boss John Riccitiello said of the decision: “We're moving this title to June 3rd to give us additional time to build the worldwide marketing campaign a title like this deserves.”

The delay follows that also imposed on gangster romp Godfather 2.

Hmmmm i'd say its more likely they are trying report any profits into the next quarter due to the recent financial report that they've published!
This is a financial decision not a marketing decision -we all know the Sims sells itself it doesn't need a push....
