Net income and revenue both on the up after strong sales of Metal Gear Solid and PES 2009

Net income for the nine months ending December 31st 2008 reached YEN 17,826, a 17 per cent increase on the same period the year before. Operating income for the period hit YEN 34,703m, up from the YEN 27,610m seen in the same period the year before.

Credited for the success were titles such as Metal Gear Solid 4 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, as well as the publisher’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card series.

The publisher added that one million gamers now have accounts for the online portion of the publisher’s latest Metal Gear title.
