Dell opens online games portal

Dell Download Store offers a number of new titles from the likes of Sega, EA, Eidos and Atari

PC manufacturer Dell has opened up its own new digital content portal, offering a range of PC games from some of the industry’s top publishers.

Titles currently available to download include EA’s Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Spore, Eidos’ Tomb Raider: Underworld, Warner’s FEAR 2, Atari’s Alone in the Dark and Sega’s Football Manager Live.

The portal also offers DRM-free MP3 music and business software applications for download.

“Consumers are very accustomed to downloading music and movies online but many are still buying shrink-wrapped software,” Dell Europe’s director of consumer marketing David Clifton stated.

“We’re now offering customers the choice to purchase the music and software they want, and download it direct to their PC from one convenient location.”
